Clarios, in Holland Ohio, is the world’s largest battery manufacturer. At the 277,700 square-foot headquarters, they manufacture the most advanced battery technologies for virtually every type of vehicle. Annually, Clarios produces about 150 million batteries and supply to companies like Ford and other global automakers.

IPS was selected as the design builder for the 24,000 square-foot chem-set expansion onto an existing facility. The Chem-set expansion is where the battery plates are energized with lead. The project commenced on May 1st and the owner received the certificate of occupancy on October 29, 2019 – with a 6-month timeline.

The IPS team delivered all facets of construction, including excavation, underground piping, concrete pads and footers, building erection, equipment setting and installation, and the setting and installation of roof-top units.
