A new 420,000 square-foot polyiso plant and distribution center in Hillsboro, Texas broke ground in September of 2020. The new plant allows Johns Manville (JM) to meet the growing demand for its roofing products. The facility manufacturers most preferred polyiso products including ENRGY 3 roof insulation, ProtectoR HD high-density roof cover board, and GoBoard tile backer board.

IPS set the process equipment, installed piping and electrical feeds to operate the units for the roofing product line. The utilities included electrical power, natural gas, instrument air, and potable water. Our scope of work began in May of 2021 and continued through completion of May 2022.

JM continues to invest in the town of Hillsboro and offers an economical benefit of the plant being a short distance to the largest consolidation of roofing contractors in the nation, located in the Southwest region.

Challenge: IPS worked with Johns Manville and their OEM vendors to complete the plant on time during COVID when most of the country was shutdown.
