General Motors - Defiance, Ohio
General Motors Corporation invested $61 million in new technology at its Defiance, Ohio plant to produce aluminum engine blocks in 3.6-liter high-feature V-6 engines. This was the first application of precision sand casting technology at the plant.
The project included the complete design, fabrication, procurement of all equipment, delivery, civil, structural, equipment install, mechanical, electrical, controls and startup of (2) two 80,000 cfm baghouse dust collectors and associated ductwork to collect particulate emissions from the new SPM Castline equipment being installed at the facility.
