IPS was awarded the mechanical equipment, piping, ductwork, and equipment supports for the asphalt processing plant project.

CertainTeed is a manufacturer of exterior and interior building products such as roofing, siding, fence, decking, railing, trim, insulation, gypsum, and ceilings. Each year, on average, the Milan plant produces 5 million squares of roofing shingles.

The recent upgrades resulted in the facility more efficiently producing roofing shingles. Specifically, this project allowed CertainTeed to make its own asphalt in-house rather than purchase it elsewhere. Why is that beneficial? Quicker turnaround times, lower costs, and fewer trucks often caused traffic issues to access the plant.
