In preparation for the upcoming refinery-wide shutdown, BP-Husky contracted IPS for the fabrication of their piping spools. Our fab shop (positioned across the street from our headquarters) fabricated more than 2,000 spools over the period of 6 months.

After fabrication, the spools were hydro-tested, painted, and tagged with the appropriate worklist line item number for installation the following year. In this case, we offered to store the pre-fabricated spools at our facility until the owner was ready for delivery to site. The piping for this project included carbon steel, 317 stainless steel, inconel, and chrome with sizes ranging from 1/2” to 30” diameter.
