IPS was selected to be the Construction Manager at Risk for the installation of a RNG Landfill facility in a very remote area of East-Central, Ohio 60 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We worked closely through a very fast preliminary design, permitting, HAZOP, final design and construction process to deliver an operational facility in 8 months. In order to meet the aggressive schedule, site work began three weeks after award of design and civil work started the day after early foundation permits were issued. The RNG facility is located in an area where the landfill dumped spoils from its operations for the past decade, 25,000 CY of unsuitable soils were removed and new materials from other locations on the site were used to create a suitable building site. A 5,500 SF building was erected while the pipe for the facility was being fabricated for just-in-time delivery to the site. Mechanical and electrical work was performed on a 4-10 schedule with occasional overtime to complete the project in the 8 month time frame.
