The Citgo Petroleum facility in Oregon, Ohio consists of a dock off-loading facility and pipeline running from the off-loading station to Citgo’s storage tanks. Over a period of two years, Citgo upgraded its dock facilities and its pipeline. IPS upgraded the 12 inch dock line, extended the pipeline in several areas and did major re-work of the pipe support systems.
The Citgo pipeline runs thru the BP refinery in Oregon Ohio. All the repairs to the pipeline were required to be made in conjunction with the BP operational permitting process. This includes daily permits for all hot work and enhanced safety protocol.
