Toledo Port Authority built this new facility for Midwest Terminals.
Project was started as a maintenance facility for train cars and engines, as the end user does rail work for CSX and other carriers.
Build a 15,000 SF pre-engineered maintenance facility, with capabilities of adding an overhead crane. Project included an office area overlooking the maintenance bay, bathroom facilities, and an electrical/mechanical room.
Project was constructed on an old refinery site. Almost all foundation excavations encountered previously buried foundations, which needed to be hammered out. Also, this was constructed during the winter of 2013-14, which was one of the coldest and snowiest in NWO history.
