IPS Women Take Stab at Welding

12-08-2020

Recently, a group of IPS women (above, left to right: Amey Hewitt, Jessica Abbey, Chris Menard, Angela Dye, Paige Arman) left the office for the fab shop, dawned the storied IPS-Red welding jackets, and prepared for their first lesson in stick welding.  IPS fab shop welding aces Justin Sawasky and Gabe Hershberger took time out of their day to provide the patient instruction they typically give to apprentices.

“When the hood drops and it goes dark, before that flash, it’s definitely an adrenaline rush,” says Angela Dye, “but it was so much fun, we all had a blast and plan to go back to get our technique down.”
