IPS was selected as the mechanical contractor for the Honda Anna Engine plant ALMC 2B project. This plant expansion project included installation of new utility mains, process piping, chilled water piping and plumbing. In a separate phase of the project, IPS installed underground industrial waste piping and additional utility piping.
This project was being designed as it was being built and had a very aggressive schedule. In order to meet the scheduling demands, IPS made extensive use of its 100,000 SF state of the art fabrication facility in Rossford, Ohio. This allowed IPS to pre-fabricate spool pieces that were stored at IPS and shipped to the job site on a Just-in-Time basis. Also, all systems in the expansion, were tied into the existing building which was fully operational during the work on the tie-ins.
