Shop-fabricated work is built in a controlled environment by certified welders, inspected before it leaves our facility, and delivered when your site is ready for it. IPS’s 100,000-square-foot fabrication facility sits across the street from our Rossford, Ohio, headquarters, backed by 30 acres of secured outdoor storage. From there, fabricated materials ship quickly via nearby state and federal highway, Maumee River barge, or our onsite rail spur. That lets us prefabricate, test, and stage your materials off site, keeping your jobsite clear and your crews focused on installation.

Pipe Spool Fabrication
Process piping spools in carbon steel, stainless (including 317), Inconel, and chrome, from 1/2" through 30" in diameter. Our in-house VDC team handles spooling and weld mapping from 3D models and laser scans, so spools fit the first time. Certified welders fabricate under our ASME stamps, as a Piping Fabrication Institute member shop. Spools are hydro-tested, painted, and tagged to your worklist line items, then stored on our secured yard until you’re ready.
Structural Steel
& Custom Assemblies
From equipment supports and framing to one-off assemblies built to a client’s drawing, IPS fabricates structural and miscellaneous steel in our 100,000-square-foot Rossford, Ohio, shop. Our certified welders build platforms, stairs and handrails, metal conveyor components, pipe supports, equipment frames, and brackets to your specifications. Our own union ironworkers can then erect and install them in the field, so a single contractor owns the work from fabrication through installation.
Modular Construction
& Skid Fabrication
When site space, schedule, or craft availability is tight, the smartest place to build is often our shop instead of your plant floor. IPS fabricates and assembles skid-mounted equipment and pre-assembled modules in our Rossford, Ohio, facility, combining piping, structural steel, electrical, instrumentation, and sheet metal into shipment-ready units. The same union craftsmen who self-perform our field work build them, under the same ASME-stamped quality program.
Certified Quality in Every Weld
We are licensed under the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME Stamps: U, A, S, R) and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. IPS belongs to the Piping Fabrication Institute (PFI) and holds US Department of Transportation certifications for the transport of pipeline and hazardous materials (OQ).
