Responsibilities Qualifications
 

  • Determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects
  • Research construction documents and analyze specifications & drawings
  • Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work
  • Manage prequalification and pre bid submissions
  • Ensure relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline
  • Regularly report to management and keep clients updated on project status
  • Formulate contingency plans & effectively manage risks that might impact cost and time estimates
  • Collaborate with other teams, conduct site visits, bid deliveries, walkthroughs, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering, construction management or equivalent degree
  • Extensive experience as an estimator in the construction field
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills and competency with software such as ProContractor, Sage Estimating, or CoConstruction
  • Ability to travel occasionally and perform site visits
