Cyber Security Analyst

As the Cyber Security Analyst, you would be responsible for providing security focused improvement for Company computer systems, hardware, and software. The position is responsible for the security and backup of company digital information and offers technical support to employees as they relate to cyber security. To be successful in this role, individuals will need to be well-versed in all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up, and maintenance. A background or experience specific to Cyber Security software is preferred. 

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 per year. Full time position.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues using different diagnostic techniques
  • Regularly check security dashboards and tools for potential threats or breaches
  • Lead the investigation and mitigation of security incidents
  • Perform basic vulnerability scans and report findings
  • Maintain and improve security policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Provide support to end-users regarding security best practices and assist with security-related issues
  • Manage user access and permissions according to the organization’s policies
  • Conduct security awareness training for staff
  • Implement software updates and patches as they relate to cybersecurity
  • Ensure data is protected through encryption, backups, and other methods
  • Provide quick resolutions and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Provide feedback on IT security processes and make recommendations on areas to improve
  • Train users in use of company computer/electronic devices and systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or similar capacity
  • Proficiency in Enterprise level Windows Applications
  • A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Hands on experience with diagnosing and resolving cybersecurity related technical issues
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-work skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
